ACTIVITIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

Storage Tanks:
Inspection performed during construction, repair/refurbishment of the Tanks like crude oil as per API 650 standards and applicable client specifications

Materials:
Review of Supplier’s and Sub Supplier’s Vendor Data Manual of procured items like Valves, Pipes and Fittings, Equipment, Pumps etc. for compliance to Company Technical specifications / Standards / Data sheets.
Perform received material or equipment such as valves, piping, gaskets, pipe fittings, etc... To check conformity with purchase orders and specification requirements.
Interpret applicable material standards, specification, technical data sheets, project specification and PO’s requirements etc.… to evaluate the acceptance of the jobs or supplied materials.
Perform visual, dimensional, heat code traceability and storage Inspection for Structures, Piping and Pressure vessels as per approved engineering drawings and appropriate Code’s requirements tolerances.
Inspection Galvanized items like gratings, handrails, piping spools, fasteners and fittings as per Code & Standard.
Valve material inspection performed against applicable piping class to confirm the trim numbers requirements.
Confirm that Post weld heat treatment, Notch Toughness Testing, Corrosion tests and /or other specific requirements with respect to the service conditions and / or material type and thickness are as required by client specifications and construction code are met satisfactorily.
Witness Positive Material Identification tests (PMI) and Verification of Ferrite content on SS materials and review reports.
Discrepancy materials shall be identified either Quarantine or Hold and will be documented appropriately.

Welding:
Preparation of WPS for plant maintenance jobs as per the actual requirement and issued to maintenance execution.
Review of proposed WPS, consumables control procedure, repair welding WPS & MS, witness of procedure and welder qualification for new construction and in-service welding like mockup.
Witness mechanical testing
Surface NDT and Lamination test performed for Tie in/ tapping location on the existing pipe prior to start fit-up.
Verify the consumables and other equipment shall be verified against WPS and requirements.
Root visual inspection and during welding heat input, inter-pass temperature verified.
100% visual inspection performed prior to PWHT/NDT.
Surveillance of consumables heating & portable oven’s, weld machines and its calibrations.
Surveillance of Contractor’s Quality Control activities during fabrication of Pressure Vessels, Piping Spools, Process Skids and Structures and perform Inspection as required.
Monitor that contractors adhere to the Client’s Operational Safety Procedures during all stages of construction.

Piping & Pipeline:
 Verifying and reviewing welding consumable test certificates and monitoring the preservation, storage & handling of electrodes and calibration status of electrode backing and holding ovens
 Monitoring/ witnessing and surveillance inspection of ongoing welding, fabrication activities at the field and workshop
 Witnessing and surveillance inspection activities during construction of new pipelines, hook-up lines, re-routing lines and modification on piping’s for well manifolds, gas dehydration units, and piping’s from oil and gas wells.
 Witnessing hook up and tie-in, shout-down activities like new well to well manifold pipelines/ existing line tie-in, replacement of tie-in spools etc...
 Witnessing the cold bend inspection activities such as visual inspections of production bends, verification of dimensions for completed bends, gauging, surface preparations, coating and markings & tagging as per project requirement and /or client specification.
 Inspection of subassemblies like road crossing spools, tie-in spools finished items for appearance, workmanship, dimensions, surface conditions, testing, coating inspections and monitoring all QA/QC Inspection activities in related works
 Monitoring valve testing preparation activities and witnessing valve testing.
 Verifying equipment conditions, calibrations status, checking the suitability of protections and precautionary measures adopted for the Inspection tools, Welding and other equipment’s and storage quivers. Witnessing various NDT activities, PMI and hardness test and reviewing reports
 Witnessing/ surveillance inspection of heat treatment activities and review of heat treatment method of statements and PWHT Charts and Reports.
 Interpretation of Radiographic films and reviewing the reports.
 Raise Non-Conformance (NCR), where warranted, on process / product non-conformances.
 Attending line walk/check for confirmation of the punch items (pre and post pressure tests) and preparing additional punch items if necessary.
 Reviewing the hydro test packages and ensures all inspection/test completed and all reports/ documents in place before approval of the packages prior to the pressure tests.
 Line checking and verifying and clearing the punch items before the pressure test.
 Witnessing of cleaning and gauge pigging activities in pipelines and review the reports.
 Witnessing the Pressure Tests (Hydro, Pneumatic and Service Tests) activities and reviewing the test reports
 Witnessing of cleaning, drying, flushing and pigging activities in pipelines prior to the tie-in and reviews the reports.
 Verify and close out punch list items and inspection of re-instatement activities.
 Witnessing the final painting inspection and review the reports.
 Attending Mechanical completion walk through and preparation of punch listing for newly installed beam pumps for wells
 Physical verification of vendor’s program like documentation, fabrication schedules, inspection intervention, confirmation of delivery date & outstanding action points to be completed
 Attending Mechanical completion walkthrough/ meeting and/or Pre start-up safety review meetings/ walk down.
 Final Inspection prior to dispatch the product which is included Cleaning, Coating, Packing and Marking and review of final documentation dossier

Structure Steel:
 Monitoring & inspection of execution of steel structure works pertaining to main pipe rack, unit pipe racks, equipment structures, optical Silo, Storage Silo, sub-pipe racks & compressor shelters as per approved drawings & specifications.
 Attending to RFI’s raised by concerned at various stage of inspection and for various activities (Pad Plate inspection, Fit-up & welding, NDT inspection, Alignment, Bolt Tightening, Gratings fixing, handrail erection, etc.
 Release of Structure to preceding department after inspection.
 Inspect structure with reference to various tolerances and specification and also ensure usage of appropriate material section, Fasteners and consumable being used.

NDT Witness:
Confirm all NDT is performing as per approved procedure and qualified technicians.
Review of Radiographic Film interpretations.
Witness of various methods like VT, PT, MT & UT for lamination and weld scanning inspection.
Hardness Survey for welds.
Verify the post cleaning inspection for the NDT completed joints/locations.

Testing Witness:
Line walk through to confirm the mechanical completion.
Review the test packs to confirm all the NDT and other requirements like NCR/Site queries.
Release the test pack for pressure test either pneumatic or hydrostatic.
Witness the pressure test as per pressure testing procedure.
Verify the calibration certificates for all testing instruments like pressure gauge, pressure & temperature chart recorder, pressure relief valve and testing manifold.
Verify the water test analysis certificate to confirm the chlorine content for stainless steel material.
Confirm after completion of the pressure, de pressurization and disposal of water as per recommended procedure.
